ONE FC RETURNS TO SINGAPORE ON 18 OCT FOR ONE FC: TOTAL DOMINATION

ONE Fighting Championship, the biggest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotion returns to Singapore for another blockbuster event on 18 October 2013 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Headlining the fight card is the most highly-anticipated fight in ONE FC history – the unification bout for the ONE FC Bantamweight World Championship title. Fight fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of ONE FC to Singapore after closely following the intense non-stop, adrenaline-pumping action that has accompanied the promotion throughout the multi-city tour this year. Now the wait is over. Expected to be yet another sold-out event, fight fans are set to pack out the 12,000-seater Singapore Indoor Stadium once again for a night of world-class MMA action.

CEO of ONE Fighting Championship Victor Cui stated, “We are coming back to Singapore to put on one of the greatest fight cards in Asian MMA history. We will finally settle the question of who deserves to be called the top Bantamweight fighter on the planet. Plus, the fierce MMA darling of Singapore, Sherilyn Lim, will make her ONE FC debut in front of thousands of screaming home fans. We always step it up a notch in Singapore and 18 October will be no different. We are putting together a fight card that will blow away the millions of passionate fight fans all around the world. Thousands of fans in attendance and the millions watching live around the world are set for another evening of world-class MMA action featuring the best in Asia.”

The ONE FC Bantamweight unification title fight will be a battle between the top pound-for-pound king Bibiano Fernandes versus the heavy-handed and lightning quick South Korean, Soo Chul Kim.

Bibiano Fernandes is ranked as one of the best Bantamweight fighters in the world. He is the former DREAM Featherweight Champion, DREAM Featherweight Grand Prix winner and current Interim ONE FC Bantamweight Champion. Fernandes has not lost a fight in over two years and he made his ONE FC debut in Manila last August when he defeated CFC Bantamweight Champion Gustavo Falciroli. Fernandes then followed that up with a first round submission win over DEEP Bantamweight Champion Yoshiro Maeda. At ONE FC: RISE TO POWER in May 2013, Fernandes captured the Interim Bantamweight World Championship title, which was up for grabs due to Soo Chul Kim being injured, by winning a unanimous decision over Koetsu Okazaki. At ONE FC: TOTAL DOMINATION he will be looking to cement his status as the best pound-for-pound fighter currently in Asia by taking home the unified ONE FC Bantamweight World Championship belt. He will have his toughest test yet when he battles Soo Chul Kim.

Reigning ONE FC Bantamweight World Champion Soo Chul Kim is only 21 years of age but he is already a veteran of 11 MMA fights. He brings an unusual combination of both youth and experience into the ONE FC cage. The Korean has consistently tested himself against the best fighters in the division and has already competed in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. In his last ONE FC outing, Kim defeated Leandro Issa by TKO en route to winning the first ever ONE FC Bantamweight World Championship belt. Kim feels that the Bantamweight title is rightfully his and will look to cause a major upset by defeating Fernandes to prove that he is the undisputed Champion.

Both champions know that this fight will be the defining fight of their MMA career as they compete to be called the one and only ONE FC Bantamweight World Champion.

Also, the Lion City will be awaiting the debut of hometown hero Sherilyn Lim. Lim will be representing Singapore’s oldest mixed martial arts gym, Fight G. She has been part of Fight G since 2007, when she joined their Muay Thai program and has been training under the tutelage of Singaporean MMA pioneer Darren De Silva. Sherilyn has quickly established herself as the best female mixed martial artist in Singapore and fight fans have been eagerly expecting her debut on the largest stage in Asian MMA. She will be looking to do the Republic proud on Asia's largest stage when she competes in front of the Singapore fans on 18 October.

Eddie Ng vs Peter Davis added to ONE FC: TOTAL DOMINATION

Singapore: ONE Fighting Championship, the world’s most exciting mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion, has added three fights to the blockbuster Singapore card set to take place on 18 October at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The co-main event will feature two rising stars in the Lightweight division as Eddie Ng from Hong Kong clashes with the face of MMA in Malaysia, Peter Davis. Both Ng and Davis have been on a roll in ONE FC and a win will put them one step closer to a ONE FC Lightweight world championship opportunity. Also, Tatsuya Mizuno and Rafael Silva will meet in a showdown of Middleweight veterans.

CEO of ONE Fighting Championship Victor Cui stated, “MMA fans in Singapore are about to be blown away by this fight card! It is stacked with the most exciting fighters from start all the way to the main event. I can’t tell you how excited I am that Eddie Ng and Peter Davis will be facing each other on 18 October. This bout will mark a major milestone in the history of the Asian Lightweight division as both fighters have made it clear that nothing will stand in their way of reaching a title shot.”

“Eddie Ng is explosive and has amazing grappling skills while Peter Davis has an outstanding reach advantage and maximizes it with unorthodox striking. Both fighters have droves of fans from Singapore and across the Causeway, and a bout like this would certainly polarize the Indoor Stadium.” Cui added.

Hong Kong’s Eddie Ng will be making his fourth appearance in the ONE FC cage. He has finished all three of his opponents in ONE FC and will be looking to protect his unblemished ONE FC record when he meets Peter Davis. He combines explosive punching power with an underrated submission arsenal that emerged when he submitted Arnaud Lepont in his last ONE FC bout.

“I am excited to represent Hong Kong and step back into the ONE FC cage to face Peter Davis. He is a tough opponent with a good all round skill set. He has the ability to finish fights standing up and submit people on the ground. I look forward to the challenge on 18 October and I expect nothing less than an all-out war!” Ng proclaimed.

Peter Davis is a Wuji Chuan exponent and the face of mixed martial arts in Malaysia. Along with being a mixed martial arts veteran, he is also a prominent celebrity in showbiz with a long list of modeling and acting roles to his name. Davis has won five of his last six fights in impressive fashion and he will be looking to use his lanky frame and significant reach advantage to propel him to victory against Hong Kong’s Ng.

Davis told the media, “In the upcoming ONE FC fight, I'm going to be pulling out more tricks than “The Magician” can handle and put an end to his winning streak. He's won fights against a couple of my friends and it's time for a little revenge.”

Tatsuya Mizuno is a Japanese veteran who has fought all over the world. He holds notable victories over Trevor Prangley, Melvin Manhoef and Ilir Latifi. A 3rd degree Judo black belt, he has transitioned his skills to mixed martial arts by adding solid striking and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to his Judo trips and throws. He will look to utilize that against Rafael Silva and get his first win inside the ONE FC cage.

Rafael Silva is a Portuguese mixed martial arts veteran with more than 50 fights on his record. He has amassed an impressive seven-fight winning streak competing primarily in Europe. Having conquered the best in Europe, he now looks towards testing himself against the elite in Asia. With 21 of his 39 wins coming via submission, he will be looking to add another submission victory to his record against the gritty Mizuno.

ONE FC: TOTAL DOMINATION is headlined by the highly anticipated ONE FC Bantamweight Title unification bout between Bibiano Fernades and Soo Chul Kim. All the action takes place live on 18 October at the Singapore Indoor Stadium , live in Asia on STAR Sports and around the world via www.onefc.livesport.tv.

Three Singapore vs. Malaysia Bouts Set for ONE FC 11

ONE FC, the world's most exciting mixed martial arts promotion, has added another three fights to the blockbuster ONE FC: TOTAL DOMINATION card set to take place on 18 October in Singapore. All three bouts will feature top Singaporean mixed martial artists facing off against Malaysian rivals. Sherilyn Lim will face Ann Osman, who will become the first Malaysian female mixed martial artist to compete in ONE FC. Two other bouts will also feature Singapore vs Malaysia contests. Manhunt Singapore 2011 winner Juan Wen Jie will make his eagerly anticipated debut against Malaysia's Alex Lim and in the Bantamweight division, Stephen Langdown from Singapore will battle Mark Marcellinus from Malaysia.

CEO of ONE Fighting Championship Victor Cui stated, "ONE FC, Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization with 90% of the market share in Asia, returns to Singapore with a blockbuster show on October 18. In each city we go to, MMA fans are eager to rally behind their local heroes and support their nation's warriors. This time, Singaporean MMA fans will have plenty to cheer about as the age-old rivalry between Singapore and Malaysia is reignited as Singapore's own Sherilyn Lim, Juan Wen Jie and Stephen Langdown face-off against stiff Malaysian competition In the ONE FC cage. I know that the roar of the Singapore crowd cheering on their hometown warriors will be deafening and I can't wait to hear the Indoor Stadium erupt with those cheers once again."

Ann Osman fights out of Borneo Tribal Squad in Kota Kinabalu. She will be the first female mixed martial artist to represent Malaysia in Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization. Coached by ONE FC Featherweight standout AJ "Pyro" Lias Mansor, Osman brings a relentless will to win and will be looking to emerge with her hands raised.

Sherilyn Lim will be representing Singapore's oldest mixed martial arts gym, Fight G.

Juan Wen Jie will be fighting out of Impact MMA in Singapore. He is a former Singapore Manhunt 2011 winner who went on to represent the country in the year's international Manhunt competition. Since then, he has made the transition to mixed martial arts and remains undefeated two fights into his professional career. He will be looking to keep the fight standing and showcase his Muay Thai and Sanshou skills. He was initially scheduled for a bout in the third ONE FC event but had to put those plans on hold after suffering an injury. Now fully recovered, he looks to get his ONE FC career back on track with a victory over Alex Lim.

Alex Lim is a Malaysian veteran fighting out of Training Grounds Martial Arts & Fitness. He possesses a dogged determination that has served him well in his mixed martial arts career thus far. He will hope his strength in the clinch and his willingness to get into a brawl will propel him to a victory. Malaysians have won every ONE FC bout against Singaporeans thus far and Lim will be looking to keep that streak going.

Stephen Langdown will be making his professional mixed martial arts debut against Mark Marcellinus. A well-known face in social media circles, he has thousands of followers on social media sites Instagram and Twitter. The young Singaporean has been training hard and has been eagerly awaiting his opportunity to prove himself on the biggest stage in MMA. He will finally get the chance to showcase his skills at ONE FC: TOTAL DOMINATION against a Borneo native. Stephen Langdown stated, "ONE FC has a 90% market share in Asia, it is every fighter's dream to one day appear in ONE FC and on October 18, I get to realize that dream."

Mark Marcellinus hails from Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia. He was an orphan growing up and turned to karate and boxing while getting bullied in school. He is a qualified fitness trainer and one of the best mixed martial arts talents to hail from the state of Sabah in East Malaysia. He will be looking to silence the Singapore crowd with a finish of hometown favorite Stephen Langdown.
