Double Fine, the studio behind visionary Tim Schafer's hits such as Psychonauts, announced at the recent Game Developer's Choice Awards that a new downloadable title called Trenched will soon be available for the Xbox 360. Players will be cast as recruits to the Mobile Trench Brigade – Earth's last line of defense against an alien invader called Monovision. The game is expected to be a genre mashup of third-person shooter and tower defense games, and allows players to step inside highly customizable mech suits. An online co-op mode will also be available to gamers.
