Real Pro Wrestling Is Back! AWE Night Of The Legends PPV - Saturday, Oct. 15

Kevin Nash, DDP, Rock‘ Roll Express, Terry Funk, ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan, Tommy Dreamer

Professional wrestling returns to its hardcore roots Saturday night, October 15 when 30 all-stars appear at the “AWE Wrestling: Night Of The Legends”Pay-Per-View event, live from Augusta Expo in Fishersville, Virginia.

Wrestling icons being showcased include “Big Sexy” Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page (“DDP”), The Rock-n-Roll Express, Terry Funk, “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Fit Finlay, Tommy Dreamer, Amy “Lita” Dumas, Perry Saturn, and many more.

The Awesome Wrestling Entertainment extravaganza will be available for live viewing at 9 PM/ET – 6 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DIRECTV, AT & T and Verizon in the United States, as well as Bell TV in Canada, for a suggested retail price of only $24.95. The broadcast will also be available live on an Internet pay-per-view basis at AWEonPPV.com and GFL.TV.

“AWE is all about old-school wrestling with today’s look – glitz, glamour and a light show to rival any other wrestling pay-per-views,” AWE founder Marvin Ward explained. “It’s the best of both worlds. This is what real pro wrestling fans want, not the soap opera shows they’ve been getting. Instead of watching the typical 2 ½-hour-pay per view with four matches and two hours of talk, AWE is pro wrestling from start to finish: less talk, more action.”

Ward, a former wrestler himself turned entrepreneur had more to say: “Young wrestling fans will have an opportunity to see legends who they’ve heard so much about, while older fans will be able to turn-back time, watching their heroes again. Young fans will see where wrestling evolved from and how it got where it is today. This is an opportunity for young and old fans to come together as wrestling families, enjoying a memorable evening, one that will probably never happen again with so many wrestling legends featured on one show.”

The feature match pits 7’ 1’, 300-plus pound Kevin Nash, a former WWE and WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and his mystery tag-team partner, somebody who could very well be an infamous member of ‘The Clique,” against former three-time NWA Tag Team Champions, The Rock-n-Roll Express. Ricky Morton, one half of famed “The Rock-n-Roll Express” along with Robert Gibson, and Nash have had a hateful relationship for a decade, and the two are going to settle the score Oct. 15 in front of a live national television/Internet audience and packed live house in Virginia.

To determine the real King of Hardcore wrestling, ageless Terry Funk goes to war with former ECW superstar Tommy Dreamer. Funk, a two-time heavyweight champion in the ECW and NWA, as well as a multi-organization Hall of Famer, has inspired countless wrestlers aspiring to emulate his hardcore style of wrestling. Dreamer, known as the hardcore heart-and-sold of the ECW, is a 14-time WWF/WWE Hardcore Champion and two-time ECW world title-holder.

Patriotic“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, proudly waving an American flag with his trademark 2 X 4 in his other hand, will enter the ring to take on Mohammad Akbar, the sneering son of an Arab-American oil magnate.

The biggest comeback in wrestling history will take place when, after a nine-year absence, past WCW and WWE star Perry Saturn returns to face enforcer CW Anderson.

Also scheduled to be in action is former WWE and WCW title-holder Fit Finlay against 21-year-old rising-star “Loose Cannon” Alex Silva, who is considered a future AWE World Heavyweight contender. He will have “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel in his corner. Sonjay Dutt faces Jamin Olivencia.

The action doesn’t stop there. Also scheduled for this exciting Awesome Wrestling Entertainment (AWE) card is former three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion and one of the most popular wrestlers of all-time, Diamond Dallas Page (“DDP”),as well as Amy Dumas (formerly known as Lita), former World Tag Team Champion and member of the “Four Horsemen,” Tully Blanchard and Babydoll, in addition to Midnight Express, Ivan Koloff, and Tommy “Wildfire” Rich.

All wrestlers and matches are subject to change.

Ringside tickets are already sold-out but $20.00 general admission tickets are available to purchase at The Augusta Expo (540.337.2552), Crossroads Music in Staunton(540.885.3612 and Waynesboro(540.943.3613), or order on line at www.awesomewrestlingentertainment.com.

King of Hardcore: Funk vs. Dreamer: ‘AWE Wrestling: Night Of The Legends’ PPV

Saturday night, Oct. 15 in Virginia

Who the real King of Hardcore is will be decided October 15 when ageless Hall of Famer Terry Funk takes on the heart-and-soul of ECW, Tommy Dreamer, for bragging rights in the explosive “AWE Wrestling: Night Of The Legends”Pay-Per-View event, live from Augusta Expo in Fishersville, Virginia.

The featured match pits former WWE and WCW World Heavyweight Champion Kevin Nash, and his mystery tag-team partner against the former three-time NWA Tag Team Champions, The Rock-n-Roll Express, Ricky Morton, and Robert Gibson. The 7’ 1”, 300-plus pound Nash and the small but wily Morton have had a bitter, blood-letting feud dating back a decade. That grudge match will finally be settled once and for all on Oct. 15 in front of a live national television/Internet audience and a packed live house in Virginia.

The Awesome Wrestling Entertainment (AWE) extravaganza will be available for live viewing at 9 PM/ET – 6 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DIRECTV, AT & T and Verizon in the United States, as well as Bell TV in Canada, for a suggested retail price of only $24.95. The broadcast will also be available live on an Internet pay-per-view basis at www.AWEonPPV.com and www.GFL.TV.

Funk vs. Dreamer is drawing as much fan attention as the featured match. This one is mentor vs. protégé, teacher against student, plus an overabundance of mutual respect between the two combatants. The inspirational Funk, a two-time heavyweight champion in the ECW and NWA, has taught Dreamer, a 14-time WWF/WWE Hardcore Champion and two-time ECW world title-holder, most of what he knows about wrestling.

“Someday,” Funk explains, “you have to pass the hat. But, I’m not ready for that, not yet. If I had to pass it, the guy I’d pass it to is Tommy Dreamer. He has a lot of guts and ability, and I’ve always felt that way. He’s a very sharp guy in the world of professional wrestling, and he came-up through the school of hard knocks. I certainly don’t want to pass the hat, but Dreamer has paid his dues. It’s certainly going to be an interesting match.

“I am his mentor and have been since he was a young man. I’m his mentor…but he still wants to kick the crap out of me. I guess we all feel that way. I’m really looking forward to fighting Tommy Dreamer. I can’t beat him but I can out-smart him.”

Other wrestling icons among the 30 all-stars being showcased at the AWE Legends event include Diamond Dallas Page (“DDP”), “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan, Fit Finlay, Amy “Lita” Dumas, Perry Saturn, and many more.

“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan continues his fan-supported patriotic theme, waving an American flag as he enters the ring, and then using his trademark 2 X 4 on the hated Arab-American oil magnate Mohammad Akbar.

After a nine-year absence, past WCW and WWE star Perry Saturn makes the biggest comeback in wrestling history, against feared enforcer CW Anderson.

Also scheduled to be in action are former WWE and WCW title-holder Fit Finlay versus 21-year-old rising-star and hot AWE World Heavyweight prospect, “Loose Cannon” Alex Silva, who will be aided in his corner by “Nature Boy”Buddy Landel.

Included in the non-stop action Awesome Wrestling Entertainment (AWE) card is former three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page (“DDP”), as well as Amy “Lita” Dumas, former World Tag TeamChampion and member of the “Four Horsemen,” Tully Blanchard and Babydoll, in addition to Midnight Express, Ivan Koloff, Tommy “Wildfire” Rich and Sonjay Dutt tangles with Jamin Olivencia.

All wrestlers and matches are subject to change.

Diamond Dallas Page Warns Ricky Morton about Kevin Nash - 'AWE Wrestling: Night Of The Legends' PPV Saturday night in Virginia

FISHERSVILLE, Virginia (October 10, 2011) - Amidst great speculation regarding his role in Saturday night's "AWE Wrestling: Night Of The Legends" Pay-Per-View extravaganza, live from Augusta Expo in Fishersville, Virginia, three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Diamond Dallas Page ("DDP") has issued a major warning to Ricky Morton.

Former WWE and WCW World Heavyweight Champion Kevin Nash, along with his mystery tag-team partner, takes on the former three-time NWA Tag Team Champions, The Rock-n-Roll Express, Morton and Robert Gibson, in the featured match of the evening. Nash and Morton have been feuding for the past decade, and their many differences promise to be settled once and for all this Saturday night in front of a live national television/Internet audience and a packed live house in Virginia.

DDP, who is in great shape due to workout videos he has been making, said he is looking forward to this weekend's ring return. "I've been doing some Herculean workouts in my videos, so I'm in the best shape I've been in years," the popular wrestler explained. "It's great to be part of this pay-per-view show that gives young people a chance to watch so many legends and gives old-time fans an opportunity to see their favorite wrestlers in action again. You never know if all of these legends will ever wrestle on the same show again. We don't know what's going to happen, but it's going to be a great night. It could be a really sweet night, too."

DDP noted that he has been together with Nash longer than anybody, including Scott Hall, and he warns Morton about what could happen to him in the ring against an angry Nash. "We go back together before the WWF and The Outlaws," DDP said about his friendship with Kevin. "Ricky Morton has said a lot of nasty stuff about Kevin in interviews. I know Kevin really well and you just don't do that to him without paying some serious consequences. Kevin is going to keep it real in the ring. Of all the people for Morton to do that to, and then get in the ring with, well, let's just say Nash isn't that guy. Stuff happens in wrestling and sometimes real bad stuff happens. We'll see what's going to happen Saturday night but, trust me - it's not going to be good for Morton."

The Awesome Wrestling Entertainment (AWE) superstar event will be available for live viewing at 9 PM/ET - 6 PM/PT on both cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, DIRECTV, AT & T and Verizon in the United States, as well as Bell TV in Canada, for a suggested retail price of only $24.95. The broadcast will also be available live on an Internet pay-per-view basis at www.AWEonPPV.com and www.GFL.TV.

Legendary warrior Terry Funk faces his protégé, former ECW superstar Tommy Dreamer, to determine who the true King of Hardcore wrestling is in 2011. A two-time ECW and NWA heavyweight champion, Funk is a Hall of Famer in several organizations who has mentored Dreamer for many years. Despite looking up to Funk as an extreme combat fighting icon, 14-time WWF/WWE Hardcore Champion and two-time ECW world title-holderDreamer, is on a mission to retire the ageless Funk.

American flag-waving, 2 X 4 wielding "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan continues his patriotic charge when he confronts the hated Arab-American oil magnate, Mohammad Akbar.

Other wrestlers among the 30 all-stars being showcased at the AWE Legends event include Fit Finlay, Amy "Lita" Dumas, and Perry Saturn, who will be making the most significant comeback in wrestling history, nine-years out of the ring, against dangerous enforcer CW Anderson.

In a match that could very well steal the show, WWE and WCW title-holder Fit Finlay throws-down with 21-year-old rising-star and the AWE Heavyweight prospect, "Loose Cannon" Alex Silva, who'll have "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel working his corner.

Also on this action-packed Awesome Wrestling Entertainment (AWE) card are former World Tag Team Champion and "Four Horsemen" member, Tully Blanchard with Babydoll, Midnight Express, Ivan Koloff, Tommy "Wildfire" Rich, and Sonjay Dutt squares-off against Jamin Olivencia on the action-packed

Ring of honor – final battle 2011 Live IPPV on GFL - ROH World Champion Davey Richards battles “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards

This Friday, LIVE on www.GFL.tv Ring of Honor (ROH) closes out a historic 2011 with its most talked about iPPV of the year, Final Battle 2011. 3 ROH titles will be on the line, including the most coveted singles championship in the game, the ROH World Title. Tune in December 23 to see the most cutting-edge professional wrestling group in North America.

In the main event, ROH World Champion Davey Richards battles “Die Hard” Eddie Edwards in a rubber match. Earlier this year Richards defeated Edwards to win the World Title at Best in the World 2011. It was a grueling and exhausting match and one of the standout moments in ROH history. In 2010, Edwards defeated Richards in the finals of a tournament to crown the first ever ROH World TV Champion. It seems these two only lock up when the stakes are at their highest and that is exactly what is going to happen on December 23. For this bout, Richards will have Team Richards at his side while Edwards has enlisted the help of UFC Hall of Famer Dan “The Beast” Severn. Richards is known for his variety of submission holds and true grit inside of the ring and now with the help of Severn, Edwards has added the debilitating Dragon Sleeper submission to his arsenal and has also acquired a nasty streak of his own by working with one of the greatest shooters in the world. Will this match be the final blow to the American Wolves?

The ROH World Tag Team Titles are also at stake as the World’s Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) defend against the Briscoe Brothers (Mark and Jay). This feud has taken a turn for the worse as the Briscoe Brothers have decided to gain an advantage by any means necessary and that included hurting Benjamin’s ribs. The Briscoes are hell-bent on winning their 7th World Tag Team Titles and ready to do anything and everything to make that happen at Final Battle 2011. It’s still unknown how Benjamin will enter the match. He will be far from 100%, but if the WGTT has proved anything over their nearly decade-long run as tag team partners, it’s that Haas and Benjamin are always at their best when their backs are against the wall. This is one of those situations. The Briscoes have called their bluff and now it’s time for the WGTT to respond.

Jay Lethal defends his ROH World TV Title in a 3-Way Match against former TV Champ El Generico, and “The Prodigy” Mike Bennett. Lethal has made a triumphant return to ROH over the last several months and this bout against the enigma that is El Generico and the rising star Mike Bennett will be Lethal’s toughest test to date. Bennett believes he should already be the World TV Champ and he will use Final Battle 2011 to prove it once and for all.

Steve Corino battles Kevin Steen in a Grudge Match where the rules are simple. If Steen wins he is reinstated as a full member of the ROH roster. If Corino wins, Steen is gone for good. Corino used to mentor Steen so this is a classic matchup of teacher versus student. Although Corino may have taught Steen about the intricacies of what goes on inside of the squared circle, he cannot account for what goes on inside the mind of Kevin Steen. Steen has everything to prove in this match against the former World Champ Corino as this is a career defining match for the young Canadian. Steen will also have extra incentive as ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette will be at ringside for this bout. Steen would love nothing more than to stick it up Cornette’s backside and if he beats Corino, figuratively that’s what he will be doing.

Also scheduled to wrestle is former ROH World Champion Roderick Strong in the Roderick Strong Invitational Challenge. The opponent is a mystery but one thing is for sure. Strong will look to make an example out of the challenger and use it as a reminder to the wrestling fans that it should have been him in the main event battling for the ROH World Title.

The only way to watch this iPPV is to order it at www.GFL.tv. GFL.tv has cemented itself as the leader in pro wrestling iPPVs and Final Battle 2011 is the exclamation point on the end of the year. Order now!
