Graciefighter.com has spoken to Paulo Filho and the Brazilian will not be able to fight on May 13th against Hector Lombard due to visa issues:

"It seems the event took too long in sending out the letter I needed to present at the consulate and I’m not sure but it could be there was some kind of failure on the part of my managers. So, I won’t get my visa in time. I’m really upset because I’ve been training a lot. I did everything just right; I don’t know what to say."

Bellator FC 18 Weigh-In Results:


On the eve of Bellator Fighting Championships’ show at the Monroe Civic Center in Monroe, La., the fighters competing in Thursday’s event participated in an official weigh-in on Wednesday.

Bellator 18 will be Thursday on FOX Sports Net. UFC veteran Jay Silva steps in for Paulo Filho in the main event against Bellator middleweight champion Hector Lombard in a non-title, 190-pound catchweight fight, if he makes the weight that is.

Silva stepped on the scales at 190.9 pounds, so he was given 90 minutes to get down to the agreed upon weight of 190 pounds.

At 178.8 pounds, Christian Fulgium came in well over the 170-pound weight for his bout with Charlie Rader as part of the local feature fights. Rader also came in overweight at 171.3 pounds. The two are negotiating a catchweight for the fight.
