Yeoh vs Mansor, Subba vs Ting and Harris vs Silawanto Set for ONE FC 12


ONE Fighting Championship, Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization with a 90% market share, presented by Tune Talk, has added four fights to the blockbuster Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia card set to take place on 15 November at the iconic Stadium Putra, the Malaysian National Featherweight Champion will be crowned when Melvin Yeoh meets AJ 'Pyro' Lias Mansor in the tournament final. Also, rising stars Gianni Subba and Chen Yun Ting will meet in a showdown of Flyweight contenders. The main event of the evening will feature an inaugural ONE FC Welterweight World Championship battle between Malaysia's own Adam Kayoom and Japanese veteran Nobutatsu Suzuki.

Melvin Yeoh is a pioneer in mixed martial arts in Malaysia, having started mixed martial arts more than seven years ago. He possesses deadly kicks from his Muay Thai background and has a very underrated submission game. Yeoh has toiled hard to grow the sport and hopes to be rewarded on 15 November by being recognized as the best Featherweight in Malaysia.

Yeoh was originally slated to face Jian Kai Chee in the final of the tournament, but Jian was forced to pull out after suffering an injury. AJ "Pyro" Lias Mansor steps in to take his place in the final. A national Silat champion and a powerful grappler, Lias Mansor will be looking to represent his home state of Kota Kinabalu and defeat Melvin Yeoh.

Gianni Subba is considered an emerging prospect in the Flyweight division and one of the best prospects in the whole of Malaysia. His first MMA bout ended when he pulled off one of the most impressive debut performances in ONE FC history as he knocked Singaporean Bruce Loh out with a perfectly timed left hook in the opening seconds of the fight. Subba went on to defeat Saiful Merican at ONE FC: RETURN OF WARRIORS via submission at 4:08 of round two. At the age of 21, he has showcased immediate potential and has already established himself as the most dangerous Flyweight in Malaysia. Subba now faces a heavy handed brawler in Chen Yun Ting.

Chen is coming off an impressive win over Singaporean Ronald Loh at ONE FC: KINGS & CHAMPIONS, finishing the fight in the first round with a well timed hook. As one of the most highly touted prospects coming out of Malaysia, he is looking to extend his winning streak by emerging victorious in this bout that will determine who the top Flyweight in Malaysia really is.

Exciting Malaysian Welterweight Nik Harris will also make his much-anticipated ONE FC debut on 15 November when he battles Indonesian veteran Zuli Silawanto. The young Malaysian is relentless in going for the finish, having never gone to a decision in all his victories. Training out of one of the best gyms in Malaysia, Muayfit, he will look to fly the Malaysia flag high by emerging victorious in this battle.

Zuli Silawanto is an Indonesian MMA veteran who has more than 10 years of professional mixed martial arts experience. He will be looking to bounce back after falling short against Adam Kayoom in his last ONE FC bout. He has a diverse martial arts arsenal that includes kickboxing, Pencak Silat and submission wrestling. He will be looking to silence the home crowd when he takes on Harris.

Samir Mrabet is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt originally from Brussels, Belgium, who trained in three continents before deciding to reside in Malaysia. His gym, Monarchy MMA, is one of the fastest rising gyms in Asia. The former runway model is set to put his undefeated record on the line when he meets Steven Durr.

Originally from Tennessee in the United States, Steven Durr relocated to Malaysia to pursue a mixed martial arts career in Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization, ONE FC. He fights out of T-REX gym in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. A self professed trouble maker while growing up, mixed martial arts helped him to find an avenue to express himself. He has an impressive amateur record, winning 22 bouts with only four losses. Durr also has professional Muay Thai experience and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He will be looking to springboard his career in Asia with a victory over Mrabet.

The main event of the evening will crown the inaugural ONE FC Welterweight World Champion. The bout features a battle between the top mixed martial artist to ever come out of Malaysia, Adam "Shogun" Shahir Kayoom, against Japanese slugger Nobutatsu Suzuki.

Three Bouts Added to ONE FC: Warrior Spirit on Nov. 15


ONE FC, Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization with a 90% market share, presented by Tune Talk, has added three fights to the blockbuster Malaysia card set to take place on 15 November at the iconic Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysian favorites Peter Davis and Saiful Merican have been added to the card, going up against Alaa Mazloum from Egypt and Cambodia's Tok Sophon respectively. Two of the top Middleweight prospects are also set to make their ONE FC debuts when Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Leandro Ataides squares off against France's Brayan Rafiq.

Peter Davis is a Wuji Chuan exponent and the face of mixed martial arts in Malaysia. Along with being the top Lightweight in Malaysia, he is also a prominent celebrity with a long list of modeling and acting roles to his name. Davis consistently finishes his opponents in impressive fashion and he will be looking to use his lanky frame and significant reach advantage to propel him to victory against Egypt's Mazloum.

Alaa Mazloum is a Wushu expert training out of Egypt's premier mixed martial arts gym, Egyptian Top Team. Never afraid to back down from a brawl, Mazloum will be looking to stand and trade and will love nothing more than to silence the Malaysian crowd and become the first Egyptian to win inside the famed ONE FC cage.

Saiful Merican is one of the top Muay Thai practitioners in Malaysia. He has more than 100 professional Muay Thai fights and possesses ferocious kicks that have knocked out many opponents. Nicknamed "The Vampire" by fans for his fast and aggressive style, he'll look to notch up another victory when he takes on Cambodia's Tok Sophon.

Tok Sophon is set to be the third Cambodian to appear in the ONE FC cage. He will be looking to officially record Cambodia's first victory in Asia's largest mixed martial arts organization, after compatriots Long Sophy lost his debut and Khim Dima had his bout changed to a no-contest due to illegal strikes. Sophon is a Khmer boxing veteran and it will be an interesting clash of styles when he meets Merican, a Muay Thai specialist.

Leandro Ataides is a 5-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion who is currently undefeated in his professional mixed martial arts career. Originally hailing from Rio De Janeiro, he now fights out of Evolve MMA in Singapore. He will definitely look to impose his grappling skills as he makes his ONE FC Middleweight debut against intimidating Frenchman Brayan Rafiq.

Brayan Rafiq is a top French Middleweight who will be competing in ONE FC for the first time. His mixed martial arts career has brought him to Costa Rica, Canada, Japan and Brazil thus far, with Malaysia soon to be added to his resume. The veteran is returning to action after a hiatus of nearly three years. Rafiq has won six of his bouts via submission, and will be comfortable should his opponent decide to take him to the ground.

The main event of the evening will crown the inaugural ONE FC Welterweight World Champion. The bout features a battle between the top mixed martial artist to ever come out of Malaysia, Adam Shahir Kayoom, against Japanese slugger Nobutatsu Suzuki.

Unbeaten Pinto Replaces Kayoom, Faces Suzuki at ONE FC 12


ONE FC announced today that Welterweight title contender Adam Kayoom has suffered a broken rib in training and will be unable to compete at ONE FC: WARRIOR SPIRIT against Nobutatsu Suzuki. Undefeated brawler Vitor Pinto will now step in to face Suzuki in a non-title bout. Also, undefeated Brazilian Adrian Moraes will be making his ONE FC debut against veteran Yusup Saadulaev. Plus, a Heavyweight match has been added to the fight card between highly touted Heavyweights Chris Lokteff of Australia and America's Tony Johnson. All the action from ONE FC: WARRIOR SPIRIT takes place live on 15 November from the world famous Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nobutatsu Suzuki is a fighter who has proven that he has one-punch KO power, as a record of nine knockouts in ten wins will testify. Suzuki has one of the highest percentages of stoppage wins in all of MMA. Suzuki is famous for being the first fighter in Asia to showcase the incredible striking power of Karate effectively in MMA. The Kyokushin Karate black belt last fought at ONE FC: RISE TO POWER, defeating one of MMA's most experienced combatants, Phil Baroni, by TKO. With two heavy-hitters locking horns on 15 November, fans are already predicting a "Knockout of the Night" with both fighters having the ability to end the fight in an instant.

Vitor Pinto is an undefeated veteran hailing from Portugal. He has put together an impressive professional record of 7 wins and 0 losses. Pinto has consistently faced high caliber opposition and has proven time and time again why he is emerging as one of the top Welterweights in the world. Known to look for the quick finish, fans should expect nothing but fireworks as these two warriors battle for pride and glory at ONE FC: WARRIOR SPIRIT.

Adriano Moraes is undefeated in his mixed martial arts career, having won all nine of his bouts contested in his native Brazil. He is equally adept in both striking and grappling, having amassed the same number of knockouts and submissions in his career. The explosive fighter will look to keep his winning streak alive when he competes outside of Brazil for the first time. He takes on a very seasoned grappler from Russia, Yusup Saadulaev.

Yusup Saadulaev is a Combat Sambo Champion who has won numerous grappling competitions. He is known for tapping out or choking out opponents and is most famous for his ability to knockout his opponents with a devastating slam. Saadulaev is coming off an impressive win over Ryan Diaz at ONE FC: RISE TO POWER. He is in a must-win situation and will be looking at clinching himself another dominating victory.

Heavyweight prospect Chris Lokteff is 11-1 in MMA competition. Fighting out of Integrated MMA in Brisbane, Australia, he is considered one of the top fighters to ever come out of Australia. Lokteff is an out and out brawler who packs 112kg of power behind his punches and is absolutely guaranteed to go for the KO right from the opening bell as he has never gone the distance in his previous fights. He has a tough fight on his hands when he squares off against Tony Johnson.

Johnson is a former King of the Cage Heavyweight Champion and is a former high school wrestling star who is widely regarded as being one of the best prospects in the division. He possesses incredible speed and power for his 6ft tall, 120kg frame. This is set to be a clash of two behemoth Heavyweights who love to strike and a knockout looks to be on the cards.
